Where are you from? I was born in Fort Polk, Louisiana, but
moved a lot because my dad was in the Army for 25 years. I now
live in Lincoln, Illinois.
How did you get involved in BMX? My kids heard other kids in
Lincoln talking about the Farmer City BMX track. So, we went to
check it out.
How long have you been involved in BMX? About 4 years.
Tell us about your family-
Married? Yes, Deb and I have been married for 15 years.
Kids? 3 - Josh (17), Jacob (16) and Jessica (14)
Pets? Who has time for pets when you are always at a track?
Most memoriable moment in BMX? I really loved the Akron, Ohio
National race last year. It was pouring down rain that Sunday,
but it didn't stop the racing. They were all muddy and sliding
around a bit, but everyone was having so much fun!
Favorite Food? Steak, steak and steak!
Favorite Color? Green
Outside of BMX what are your hobbies/Interests? Hunting for
Indian artifacts and fishing.
Favorite Race/Track? Lexington Virginia indoor track is the
nicest, most well-groomed track I have ever seen.
What is something that the Illinois BMX Family may not know
about you? My close family and friends call me by my nickname,
Bo. When I was born, my sister was barely old enough to talk
and could not say "boy", instead she always called me "Bo", it
stuck.
How long have you been involved in the Illinois State Board? Two
years
Why did you choice to run for a board position? Actually, it really
was not planned. I was nominated and was willing to take on the
responsibility. I am glad I did.
What are your goals for the 2008 season? I would like to see the
rider count grow. I also plan for the INBL to complete the
requirements for non-profit and tax exempt status. In addition, I
hope to see the Board become stronger through better
communication and the efforts of everyone involved. Finally, I
hope to be able to attend the President's Cup and see ILLINOS
take #1!!
Anything else you would like to add? I am looking forward to the
2008 season and working with everyone on the Board as well as
having great fun with all the riders and parents.
